Me and kevin by Keith Johnson

I've been doing a lot of "half drag" lately which is pretty much the same as full drag but with lower eye brows and a more appropriate outfit.
This set was taken by the talented Keith Johnson at Hard French a couple of weeks ago. If you ever invite me to a sixties theme dance party understand that I will show up with the biggest hair and dance until I can't walk straight! In this case I also took the opportunity to match my nails to my dress.
Tomorrow is the second of my three going away parties. Its at the Can Can. Why don't you come by?

Adrian Ryan gave me an amazing going away write up in this weeks issue of The Stranger. As he mentions, Dickslap will be the first of three public going away parties I'll be having! It will be tonight at The Eagle. I will be wearing my famous "boobie suit"
The second will be Lady Krishna's "It Girl" show and party at the Can Can on Thursday August 25th at 7:30pm. This one will be a bit mellow and full of wonderful things and people.
Finally, the last one will be Saturday September 3rd but I'll tell you more about that later.
In the meantime, please take a second to read this wonderful mention of me by Adrian Ryan in this week's "Homosexual Agenda".

All I do these days is haul bags and boxes from one location to the next. The weather has been gorgeous which is great since I've been out so often. I've been dressing as comfortably as I can while I run my less-than-glamorous errands.
My mother found this vintage silk skirt for me somewhere. I look like some kind of punk peasant in this ensemble.
Later that day, I was presented with a giant bouquet of poppy red flowers from a local florist which was fun to carry home. Everyone smiles at you when you carry a bouquet down the street! Especially when it matches your outfit!
If you live in Seattle you should stop by my yard sale tomorrow from 12-4 on 15th and Harrison. I'm selling off most of my fabric and tons of other sewing items such as buttons, beads, ribbons, and lace. There will also be a box of free remnants- perfect for quilters or pastie makers! CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO!

Scarf, heels, and skirt are vintage, top is TRASH IN VAUDEVILLE.

For the next three days I switch back into performer mode portraying Francoise Hardy in L'Edition Francaise at the Triple Door. This is an incredible show for anyone out there who is a fan of French Pop, Yeye culture, dance, burlesque, and boobs. It really is like a scopitone come to life. The show is put on by Lily Verlaine and Kitten La Rue (Some of Seattle's best and brightest where burlesque and dance are concerned). It is one of my favorite local productions and I'm I'm so happy to have a part of it! You really must see this! But tickets HERE.

Okay, you got me. All these recent sunny outfit snaps are actually from over a week ago. For a split second Seattle saw a real spring and now... well yesterday we had a thunder/hail storm most of the day. On this day I was taking a much needed break from sewing to get tea with Toya. It was so amazing to sit outside wearing only a cropped cardigan and not be freezing. I think some people were laughing at me while I was taking these shots. I try to find empty areas to take outfit snaps in so I don't look like more of a nut than I am but sometimes it doesn't work out so well...
