A closer look at my makeup for the Twelv Launch at Hotel Chantelle. Wearing Goldfish from the Lime Crime China Doll palate on my eyes and Armour gloss in Femme Fatale on my lips.
I wore one of the prettiest dresses I own- a sheer 1930's below the knee number decorated with sequin palm trees that criss-cross over the breasts. I wore leather shorts and a strapless bra underneath to play it down. I should have taken a full body shot. That means I'll just have to wear it again!

A few detail shots of my outfit for On Top a couple weeks ago. I'm doing my best 1930s vamp poses. I just wanna be on the cover of Film Follies magazine!
The outfit is handmade (and half finished) as are the earrings, and the shoes and hat are vintage.
The eyeshadow is Sugarpill and the lipstick is Lime Crime Loop De Loop over black lip liner. I sequined my brows by hand using mini sequins and spirit gum. xox

Lime Crime featured none other than ME in their third installment of Discovery Fridays on Facebook yesterday! If you didn't see it yet click HERE to like it! And if you are new to Lime Crime, take a look at some of their fab products!
I've put in an order for more glitter material (and in some new colors!) so if you haven't got yourself a collar yet, more are on the way!

Doe Deer, the prettiest russian doll on the West Coast and founder of Lime Crime makeup sent me a wonderful collection of goodies last week which I decided to display along side some of my "well loved" LC lipsticks (you can tell which ones I had prior because they are so worn down)!
I'm crazy about all these new shades and am totally loving the China Doll Palate but I think my favorite product so far is Lime Crime's "retrofuturist" candy red lipstick. How candy red you ask? I think these photos do it justice. We're talking shiny bright carnauba wax glazed cinnamon heart candy red. The yummy smell is even more incentive to follow John Waters advice and "eat your makeup".
Instead I opted to wear my makeup and ingest far more cinnamon hearts than I intended during the shooting of these images. Miraculously I am eating them again right now and I have yet to become sick of them. I mean, how could I?
But why did Doe Deer send me all these candy colored treats?? Surely there was a reason? Well "deers", there is. An awesome reason! But I can't tell you now. You'll just have to wait and see for yourself. In the mean time, take the glitter in these pictures as a mega hint. ;)
Which Lime Crime lipstick is YOUR favorite?

Sugar Lips Apparel was kind enough to send me this rockin' mesh top from their collection. I wore it to an evening wedding the other night along with my vintage Imagnin mint suit and a spring floral hat. I left my straightener in California and since I can't undercurl my bob without it I've just been teasing my hair up everyday. It makes me feel like I should take up smoking and wear more leather and baby pink lipstick. It makes me feel like running away but not very far because I like being in New York. Maybe I'll just run away for a little while until my beehive falls flat and then I'll have to go home and brush it out and face reality again.
If anyone wants to run away with me we could start a girl gang or something and wear tattered vintage hats and carry switchblade lipsticks and kick boys and stuff. Running away should never be very well planned.

Hat is vintage Saks Fifth Avenue. Suit is vintage IMAGIN. Shirt is Sugar Lips Apparel. Earrings are vintage. Lipstick is a combination of Lime Crime D'Lilac and Swagger Cosmetics Dolores.
