Last Thursday Juanita More payed a visit to Seattle and she turned up at Lip Service wearing a hat I designed for her! She looked beautiful in it paired with black velvet and matching details. I suppose it isn't the easiest design to DJ in but if I can do it, surely Juanita can too!

The hat features an overlay of net fabric with a spanish style embroidered design. Hand painted faux flowers with Swarovski crystal details, black piping, and a small veil. It is part of my tear drop heart series which I am still working on from time to time. I have a few unique ones around my house that I'm saving for a rainy day (I'm wearing one in the header of this blog!).

Juanita is a top notch drag queen extraordinaire, DJ, promoter, and glamazon from San Francisco which, as I understand, is the land of all things drag and queen related and often I wonder why I am not there. In fact, I'm wondering that right now! Anyway, if you don't know miss Juanita, you will after you visit her website.
Today, I am creating my leather turban prototype which is turning into less of a turban than I wanted it to be. I guess that's what prototypes are for...
