Let me apologize for disappearing from this blog for nearly two weeks! I've been all over the place these days. Bouncing between day jobs and beginning big projects. Designing a Fall collection is one of the most exciting things I've been working on as well as launching a cooking website. I'll have updates on all of this as the weeks go by.
Today I went to a lecture on hats at The Cosmopolitan Club on the Upper East Side. Ooh lala. It was a luncheon. I was literally in a room full of ladies who lunch. And we were all lunching- them on shrimp, salad, and chocolate. Me on grilled veggies and berries. The lecture reinforced my knowledge of hat making and made me even more excited to start on my fall designs!
I'm wearing my mothers vintage hat, my step grandmothers vintage earrings, and my grandmothers handmade vintage dress. Talk about keeping it in the family!
Hat, dress, earrings, and coat are vintage. Espadrilles are from Dry Goods NY.

may i ask what brand the PERFECT espadrilles are? unfortunately Dry Goods NY website doesn't allow you to shop and I'm all the way in sunny california... thanks darling!
Lovely outfit doll, and I'm glad you found the hat talk useful. Looking forward to your designs--did you share any of your own ideas while at the club? If so what did they think?
You look absolutely gorgeous! I missed that lilac color on you! It's great that u are doing so many projects, I can't wait to see the cooking website!
Great outfit as always.

Love this outfit x
A luncheon for hatmakin' ladies? Oh my goodness, it's a scene straight out of the Bell Jar! This is a good thing.

It was fun. I didn't share too much with the group but got a lot of attention for my outfit and hat choice!
