Going xmas card supply shopping requires an especially whimsical outfit. I went with green fur and the dress that matches my hair and my new Moschino flats which are mauve and incredibly precious. Wearing expensive shoes changes the way you walk around town. I made sure to step extra carefully to ensure my shoes remained unscuffed.

They say NYC is incredibly judgmental of peoples shoes. Its actually made me begin to judge peoples shoes more often– mostly on the subway where I have time to focus on meaningless things like that. I hope that people are focusing on these shoes on the subway. If I'm gonna be judged it better be while wearing Moschino.

Hat and dress are vintage. Coat is Blanc Noir. Shoes are Moschino.

Recently I was captured by Fashion Snap– a street fashion blog out of Japan– as I made my way through Soho on a windy afternoon! This is the best street to take outfit snaps on. It's the third time I've been street snapped on it! A sea of cobblestones and no traffic.
I sort of feel like Robinhood here. Cropped pants and a pointy hat. I just need a feather and a knife on my belt. The hat was given to me by Corey Tippin who was featured quite prominently in the Antonio Lopez exhibit I was on my way to when this was taken. The pants are from The Manhattan Vintage show. They are made from the softest wool and the color is to die for.
If you like this picture, you'll be thrilled to know there's MORE images on the Fashion Snap blog! Go crazy! Steal from the rich! Give to the poor! Etc!

Hat, earrings, pants, belt, and heels are vintage. Coat is vintage Lily Ann. Shirt is American Apparel. Bag is Bally. Glasses are Miu Miu.

Even though Halloween was basically cancelled in NYC, having half the island in total darkness was far creepier than any costumed drunk-fest we could have attended. We've been stranded uptown all week waiting for the trains to start running again so Halloween night i convinced my roommate to take a car-full of us to the blackness that is downtown.

It took us hours to travel only a couple miles. The city is in total chaos right now. Once we crossed the border into the dark, however,it was a totally different world. Spooky and quiet. The only light coming from cars here and there. People in weird costumes making there way on foot with flashlights. Subway tunnels transformed into soggy smelling black pits that led to nowhere. We stopped at Union Square Park to take some photos. It was so dark my camera refused to focus! All in all, our eerie outing saved Halloween. We then returned to our privileged uptown house with its electricity and modern conveniences. La-dee-da...

Let's supplement NYC's flooded out Halloween with THE FIERCEST PICTURES EVER taken of me by my roommate the other night. I asked my creepy neighbors to be in the photos with me which I think really added something.

I didn't know what to wear the other night so this is what came of 30 mind in my bedroom- a lot of tulle, impractical heels, and a sideways wig hawk- instant Halloween magic!
I'm happy I'm not a child in NYC right now. All the Halloween parties getting cancelled when you're an adult is lame but when you're a kid it's DEVASTATING! I'm planning on carving a pumpkin and going for a drive with a car equipped friend today to look at the spooky spooky hurricane damage. Happy partying to the rest of you!

Behold! A pair of terrible outfit snaps from the other night when I was too lazy to pull out my real camera! I was on my way to see The Liza Colby Sound which is somewhere between metal and soul music so I opted for a '60s mini dress with punk detailing. My turban is, in reality, just a piece of black vinyl I've wrapped up.

I feel like a Shangri-La! Want me to do a turban tying tutorial?? You know you do!

Hat is handmade. Earrings, jacket, dress, and fur purse are vintage. Tights are American Apparel. Shoes are Nine West. Lipstick is MAC Yung Rapunxel.

What to wear to sushi on a chilly night. I opted for my new '60s wool mustard cut out dress and matching black lipstick from Portland Black Lipstick Company.

Feeling a little spooky and disturbed. I placed black velvet beneath the dress cut-outs to keep it PG for a monday dinner and I figured my mouth could be like, the fourth cut-out. Concept dressing. Speaking of which, I found the dress along with a gem of a pair of pants at The Manhattan Vintage Show which always fills my closet while simultaneously draining my bank account. Funny how that works.

I wrote the longest review on black lipstick recently which you can find HERE. If you love black lips then, please, come over. I have every black lipstick in existence on my desk currently. I guess I'd better hop to, and start wearing it every day!

Hey! By the way, did you notice my blog looks a little different? I'm in the process of revamping it so I apologize for a few weird things you may find here and there (I'm one of them. Hi!). This ol' blog has been far past due for a makeover and it's starting right now. Say blog? How do you feel about black lipstick??

Hat is American Apparel. Dress is vintage. Tights are from the faraway land of Japan. Heels are Nine West. Lipstick is Portland Black Lipstick Company.

This day was insane. Earning a spot at The Blondes was all I ever wanted and on this day my NYFW dreams came true. First though, I put on an all leather outfit and my homemade Chanel brows and made my way down to the OUT Hotel to see the SIR New York show put on my my very talented friend and up and coming designer Austin. Can you say beautiful boys playing baseball??

After SIR New York, and with a little practice in patience, I was finally whisked backstage to assist Bec in covering styling at The Blonds for Beautylish. You can see the snaps I got of all the amazing nails here. So incredible to see it all come together.
The show itself was star studded as you can see. It's still very odd to me to see pictures of paris Hilton on my camera whom I have a soft spot for ever since her stint on The Simple Life which to this day might be the single greatest trashy reality show to ever grace our televisions.
The outfits were unbelievable. I'm only posting a couple of the photos I got. The finale piece that looks like a full body chandelier is... I have no words. It's just amazing. Totally amazing. Thats all.
If you are wondering where I am in the audience, I'm actually hiding in the press pit! I have to say I make a shit press person. People kept asking for my photo during seating. I don't think press people are supposed to stand out. The press guy next to me had never shot a fashion show or heard of The Blonds so I guess I wasn't that out of my element.
Afterward we all went to Le Bain. I ended up with Phillipe Blonds drink because someone handed it to me. Hoping it gave me Blonde cooties that will turn me into a femme-bot.

Hat is BOY London. Brows are handmade. Jacket is vintage. Dress is SENA. Clutch is Amanda Pearl. Shoes are Nine West.

I spent Fashion Week Day 5 hanging out with Audrey, event hopping around the West Side. We accidentally dressed to match each other. Tis the season for orange things, florals, and black cut out heels. We went to an event for Daily Candy on top of the Empire Hotel. It was amazing up there! I loved the giant sign! We were accosted by a very tan man who told us he does all the spray tanning for the Vicoria's Secret fashion show, which sounds like every non-gay man's dream job. He tried to convince me to get a spray tan. Can you imagine? I feel like all my power would diminish!

We also stopped by Lincoln Center which was right across the street. A Japanese blog made me hold a sign for a photo. They told me it said "Fashion Week" but I secretly think it says "I'm a big dumb fashion lametard". Or something to that effect at least...
I was spotted a couple times later at the GenArt show that Audrey invited me to. Here I am looking dazed on Elle Canada. Here I am looking bright and bushy on Fashion Indie.

Thanks again to Audrey and Erica for more than half the photos in this post! See more here.

Hat and bag are handmade. Suit is SENA. Top, gloves, and earrings are vintage. Shoes are Nine West.

Ladies and gentlemen, I am weeks behind on my blogging. It's embarrassing. Sometimes I wish that this was in fact how I made a living so that I could constantly crank out entries, while raking in the dough and free designer duds, but unfortunately it's not, and sometimes I have to go weeks without blogging. If you think thats bad, you should see how long it's taken me lately to respond to Facebook messages!
But I digress. Something amazing has happened this month and it's not my new weave (you like?). I am the cover story for the second issue of The Unlimited Magazine– a quarterly iPad and soon-to-be iPhone publication. The magazine is incredible and fully interactive. Besides me, it features fashion blogger Bryan Boy and reigning queen of everything Amanda Lepore.

I met editor Karin Bar in Soho recently to sneak my first peek at the full interview with me featuring an exclusive interactive photoshoot I did with Greg Vaughan! Wanna know the best part about this? The Unlimited Magazine is free to download! You could be reading it right ow as opposed to this crummy blog entree. How about that?
I'll be sneaking you more peeks at it as the month goes on. In the meantime, put me on your iPad!

Hat is handmade. Top is Hipposchemes. Skirt, gloves, and bag are vintage. Heels are Max Mara.  Lipstick is OCC Lip Tar in Black Dahlia.
