What do you think of my new Must Have's column? I'll be bringing you my top picks, obsessions, and most sought after items for each month of the year! Here are mine for October.
Nothing says garishly ghoulishly festive like a glitter manicure. My stick on nail polish is still holding up but I'm dreaming of black or purple glitter next. October is a great month for black velvet anything and everything! Its about time I dug my velvet leggings out again. Pair a velvet dress with an unconventional leather collar and you'll look spooky like Wednesday Addams. Speaking of spooky, for the past month I've been staying across the way from The Dakota, the famous building where Rosemary's Baby was filmed. I couldn't sleep for days after seeing that movie last. It's such a beautiful building but I could never live there without having nightmares... I'm crazy over black and white animal prints right now. I'm on the hunt for that Top Shop spotted stole with no success. When it comes to eyebrows my motto is "go big or go home" and clearly vintage vixen Vampira agrees. Oddly colored vegetables always grab my attention and nothing says Halloween like black carrots, a healthy candy alternative. Revisiting Desperately Seeking Susan  I am loving Madonna's skull suitcase. DIY one with handmade stencils and white spray paint. And finally, lets pay special attention to Gerlan's latest creation- The Goosebumps inspired ooze dress. Genius.
That's it for my October inspirations. What inspires you this month?

  1. You know, I love it! I'm inspired this month by everything. I love all the Halloween themed posts by bloggers. Every weekend this month we have little kids coming through my work place in their costumes, it's fun to see little kids own it. I had a little boy on Sunday tell me "Ahoy Matey, Trick or Treat." Food this month inspires me, as well as the beauty and darkness of the sky.

  4. Oh hell yes a covet collage with AWESOME stuff in it for once!!! I have been checking out Goosebumps on DVD for over a month now.. you (we) gotta have that dress!

I am obsessed with finding someplace online that sells vinyl witch fingers.. they're a dying breed.

  5. I really like the idea of us sharing a siamese twin ooze dress. Try Archie McPhee for the fingers.
