A few more shots of me living it up kitty style after the Hello Kitty art event a few weeks back! The nerdy cat look really suits me, no?

These photos were taken at Hotel Chantelle during Pogo, a party I host every Thursday. Why haven't I seen YOU there yet?

Thanks to McMike and Nicky Digital for the images!

I've been busy this year but I've made sure to take plenty of time to be festive. Even when running errands. I'm obsessed with these vintage wool pants. I usually wear them with a more fitting outfit but I chose to go a slouchier route this day with my BOY X LONG shirt.

I'm still waiting for a real snow. For now little bits blow in and out. Once it falls for real though, I wont be able to wear these shoes!

My friend has been practicing pin curls on me, hence the drag hair. I'm loving the curls for December! If you want a set of your own, book with Angelica Vargas at Sahag Workshop in NYC. The gradient looks perfect don't you think?

I hope you are all having a cozy and lovely Christmas full of cookies, and cakes, and roasted things. New toys and gifts and red lips and glitter and friends and magic!

Hat, heels, and pants are vintage. Tee shirt is BOY X LONG. Undershirt is American Apparel.

I've been wearing the Ciate Velvet Manicure for a couple weeks now and I can't go anywhere without curious people petting my nails! Im serious, grocery store clerks, salon employees... they've been a great conversation piece, I'll tell you that much.

After letting my friends test the kits out, I decided the manicure needed a little shine to balance out the matte effect of the velvet flocking so I got Michelle at Fierce Spa to paint green/gold tips in Chanel Peridot before the velvet went on. I also bonded the velvet with a coat of OCC Flatline so the shine of the Ciate polish wouldn't show through. contrary to rumors, the flocking does not change when wet. I've baked in these, done the dishes, eaten finger food... They still look great. The key is to get as much flocking as possible to stick the first time and touch up when needed.
Long story short, I'm loving these fuzzy nails for winter!

Last Thursday was the VIP opening for the Hello Kitty, Hello Art show at Openhouse Gallery here in NYC! Tess and I went as reps for our friend's new Sanrio partnered line Japan LA in a bevy of Hello Kitty gear! The show was great, and we got a hefty amount of photo time in with Betsey Johnson who contributed some art of her own to the event!

We gorged on giant pink frosted gingerbread cookies, and peppermint bark, oh, and chocolate covered strawberries with sprinkles! I also drank my share of mystery pink cocktails, There were two kinds– light pink and dark pink, my favorite flavors!
I leant Tess my glitter tee shirt because it went great with her galaxy leggings, and I rocked it out in what I do best: drag served up extra kawaii. Can you believe the curls are my real hair?? I'm loving this Japan LA kitty dress that I get to keep! Jealous? Get one for yourself here!
Hilariously, this is the second time I've dressed as Hello Kitty. The first incarnation involved pigtail buns, a lot of Angelic Pretty, a pedophillia theme party, and listening to the theme song to the Hello Kitty TV show on repeat for 3 hours straight until I went so crazy that I found myself in full lolita eating pizza out of the garbage behind a punk show venue that let me in free because of my outfit. KITTY KITTY!

My dress is Japan LA. My ring, socks, bag, and head bow are Angelic Pretty. My tights are Topshop. My shoes are Vivienne Westwood for Melissa. My jacket is vintage. My brows, eyeliner, and lipstick are Lime Crime.

I spent hours making these glitter-encased Christmas postcards by hand, but it was totally worth it cause they turned out so cool. The background image is one I took of my bedside table which I stenciled over and encased in vinyl pouches that I filled with glass glitter and vintage ephemera. Honestly, I'm surprised the post office even mailed them!
Last Christmas I sent my cards out with chocolates enclosed in the envelopes. One envelope was returned because I wrotethe address wrong, but someone had tore a hole in the corner and eaten the chocolate! So dumb.

I wish I could have sent these to everyone I know but I suppose making them was a lesson to create simpler ones in a larger quantity next year.

Did anyone else send out cards this year?

Good news! I'm bringing back my monthly must-have's and I've decided to start with a special Christmas edition of things I am currently obsessed with! This time of the year I love everything sparkly and decadent. Wait, I always love everything sparkly and decadent...
♥ I recently made a batch of Christmas cards that I stuffed with glass glitter and I have to say, I'm never going back to shitty plastic craft glitter again. Glass glitter also makes me realize why people are so afraid of getting glitter in their eyes. Its glass! It's extra shimmery and usually imported and I got mine here. ♥ I've been wearing the Ciate Velvet Manicure in Berry Poncho for over a week and everyone I've encountered has asked to pet my nails. Have you ever had anyone pet your nails? Well you're missing out. ♥ I'm obsessed with anything Charbonnel Et Walker and these mini triple truffle heart-shaped boxes are the perfect quickie gift for everyone, duh. ♥ Last December I discovered Lime Crime Carousel Gloss and a year later I'm still hooked. I've seriously been wearing mine in Candy Apple every day this month. Who doesn't want glittery glossy lips come the Holiday season?? They now have even more colors available including a pretty plum, as well as a green, and even a clear option to add sparkle to your own best December lip color. ♥ The only thing good enough to pair with glitter lips in December is gilded eyes. Maybelline is launching metallic 24 Hour Color Tattoo shadows and the pigmentation is impressive. This gold is neutral and it's staying power guarantees you'll still look pretty after a full night of holiday partying. ♥ Finally, what's a holiday without one of my glitter collars?? Tie one on ANY OUTFIT for instant sparkle. You bet I'll be wearing them to all the best parties! ♥

Grandma channeling is important. Not only do grandmas typically have amazing style, they are also smarter than us.  Okay sure, they get confused a lot and forget obvious things and can never hear anything you say to them, but they've been around longer than us which means they pretty much know everything about anything. Well at least anything that happened before 1990. And current events, they love those...
I channeled club grandma the other night for POGO. '50s glamour meets grandma floral. I wore two of my step grandmas wigs– one on each side of my head. Mischa dressed the part of pastel boudoir grandma. Together we look perfectly set for sunday church, if the service was directed by John Waters...
Mischa gets bonus points for pin curling her real hair perfectly. Are you feeling the grandma? Photos by Nicky Digital.

I am wearing all vintage. Duh.

A few behind the scenes shots from yesterdays shoot with Kayvon Zand for his new video One Way Flight. I was thrilled to be cast as a model in the staged runway show for which I got to wear a corset by The Blonds.

Mike Ruiz was directing and Daniel K did the phenomenal makeup which I somehow ate my lunch er..."through".  Michael Musto also posted about the shoot here
Updates soon once the video is released! Till then!
